He didnt blow my hunt. I noticed the lights flashing on my way out then noticed a flashlight. I didn't think he was looking for me I thought maybe someone hit a deer or there was a domestic dispute of something.

I called out to him "Over here!" He replied to me, "what are you up to?" I said "bow hunting".

The sheriff was cool and didnt give me any trouble or grief. He said "Thanks" and was on his way after a brief conversation.

Cop made us leave. he said it was dangerous to be hunting near homes with kids. He knew absolutely nothing about the hunting regs. The president of the association was furious and called him but it ended there.

Glad he didn't blow your hunt at least. Last year my neighbors called the CO on me. I had parked along a road to access the back of my property through a neighbors field (had permission). Seems no one recognized my truck and some neighbors had been having trouble with trespassers. As I got to my truck my neighbors approached me asking who I was. When they got near and realized it was me they told me they had just called the CO. I waited for him to show up and all was OK. I'm actually glad they were looking out for each other.
