We were just going through the trail cam pic's and found on the 16th a buck that had both sides. He showed up on the 19th with one missing. That is the earliest that I've noticed a buck shedding antlers in Missouri. The hunt is on.

We have one that dropped on the 12th I believe it was. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. That never happens around here.

No kidding. Funny thing, my wife and I was joking about just going out after lunch and looking for it. Thought it would be in the standing beans where we see him all the time.
Sure enough, there it was, right there in a patch of turnips that we planted in the standing beans. About 200' from the garage door. Couldn't believe it. That is the first shed we've found on our place. We moved to this house a year ago.

They started growing early here this year and shed velvet early. Always read it was a photosensitive (hours of daylight) thing but I'm not sure that's all there is to it.

I've got a small buck on camera week and a half ago with one missing. Not sure if it was shed or broken off or maybe never grew. Checking card again Wednesday so we'll see what we've got going on then.

The fact that this post did not include a picture is offensive, come on man.

I tagged out second weekend of he season so I've been waiting months to hear about sheds! We don't usually see them drop until February here in Wisconsin. All my hopefuls for next year still wearing full headgear.

I checked a another camera today on a different farm and found a buck showed back up that we hadn't seen since August. It appears that he has shed his left side already and appears to be a completely healthy 3.5 year old.

Saw either a huge doe this weekend or a buck that had shed. Her head definitely looked like a buck's but I've known them to still have antlers in April around here.

Sorry sota, I took the picture after I found it then went back to cutting wood. I have a work phone and a personal phone. Hard to keep track of which I took the pic with. I know, excuses are like..............

I have a buck on camera without any headgear but not sure might be a button. a buddy of mine has a buck that is shed . this seems to be an overall weird year for deer.

We got 6" of snow Saturday and will be getting 8-11" more today through tomorrow. Going to be tough finding any but I bet they'll be dropping.
