Holt, you seem to find a lot in the green grass fields. Nice job.

Thanks, Yeah it's been working out. I run the field edges looking for poop. Then slow way down and scan for sheds. Also go back to same area multiple times every couple weeks and have been picking up sheds in same area. It's time to hit the woods now before the green up, it's coming fast! With my limited time this year, my goal was to get 20 sheds. I'm not to far off that and should be able hit that goal.

Only ended up with 1 more today. #16. I hiked over 5 hours of big woods today and we'll over 10 miles. It was a rough hunt! Did find a small dead head 4 point and a coyote skull also. Just 4 more to reach my goal! 2018-04-08%2018.46.36.jpg

I’m jealous of all those pics with no snow. We still have too much on the ground. It has been one screwy spring this year, we have had about 24” of snow since March with another 12-24” predicted for this weekend. All of that after we had less than 12” for the whole winter before that.

Found one more tonight while trying to roost turkeys. Not a big one but it counts.

I have gone a couple times over the last couple weeks, but no luck. May try one more spot then I'm done for the year.

I’m about done as well. It is really starting to green up here and the bass should start biting.

I'm about out of places to go. But I didn't find a single match this year, so that means there 17 other sheds out there some where!

Well fellas, I tried this year and came up with no luck, even with my lab that I have been training. Contest said it ends May 1st. Sorry I could not contribute more to the team, but I wish you guys luck for the upcoming season! Being a team capt, wasn't so hard! :tu:

Sorry everyone, weather was a bear this year. We had a few weekends without snow on the ground, but of course I ended up busy those weekends. The few times I got out, I had no luck. Finally might be able to get to a few of my places that are on north facing sides of the bluffs around here. Problem is, snow stuck around so long, spring sports have started up for my boy and I'm back to being busy all the time. I'll keep that in mind before I sign up next year.

    Nice work to everyone here.

Thanks everyone. Good luck in and the upcoming fall. Hopefully the weather will cooperate next year.
