    When is a good time to shed hunt in Southern Mississippi?

    Not sure about down south,but here in western south dakota,I've found horn in late dec before.

    Not sure about down south, but up in New York, I start looking around the middle of January throughout Turkey season (May). You should be able to find some down your way around January or so. Give it a shot!

    I like to search for them on bright sunny days with little or no snow. The sunshine helps them stick out among the brown background. But if snow sticks around I search areas where the deer yard up in late winter. Twice now I have found both antlers in the same spot. Good luck!
