Today was probably my last day to go tromping. We will be in the field so the only hope is to find one while in the tractor. When Troy was here... we went and tromp part of a half section of corn where a couple moose had winter. Troy managed to find his first ND whitetail shed but no moose sheds were found. Today we went back to look some more. Britney tromping along the edge of the corn... We did see a young bull moose still floating around so I kept Britney pretty close to me. Glad I did as I got to hear... " There's a shed !! IT"S A MOOSE SHED !!!!! " . It was the shed from the big bull for our area and Britty's first moose shed... About an hour later I found shed # 50 for the year. Moose sheds are a rare find here so if this is the way I end the year... It doesn't get any better then this !!! It matched up with Britney's shed... Tyler found a small, busted up 4 pt shed ( WT ) which in all the commotion of the moose sheds... we managed to some how loose it out in the corn field. It just wasn't Tyler's day. LOL Tim
Great job bud, real nice! Glad you guys found those, how far were they from where we were on that section?
I was within 100 yards of both of them when you were here. I just didn't go far enough south with the one Britty found. I am glad it worked out that way as it was fun seeing Britney fired up over finding it. She put quite a few miles on with us this year and it was great to see her get rewarded with a great find. The side I found... if you hadn't found that whitetail shed and waved Tyler and me over... we probably would have found it that day. We were walking in that direction and then turned and headed to you. Glad we decided to go back and check the spot again even though we didn't have much hope of finding anything. We spent another 5 hours looking Saturday plus the couples hours when you were here. Well worth it !!!! Tim
