Ya know how waterfowl hunters get bragging rights for shooting a banded duck/goose? I wonder if you could get bragging rights for shooting a tagged doe. Just a thought.

If not a local farm or DNR, it might be a college/university biology research project.

If you shoot her, tie the tags to a helium filled balloon and let it go.

Well, so far I have spoke to about every KDWP biologist around, most of which already had my trail cam pic on their phone or computer. Funny how quickly things travel. Anyway turns out that a guy I grew up with does have a breeder farm about 10 miles from me, I knew he had a large cattle operation but was unaware he was farming deer. Long story short I am waiting on him to call me back. Hopefully he can confirm

I know a guy in IL that found a doe fawn and nursed her back to health. He had to apply for a license and permit to do it but he did receive all permits and he tagged her in one ear. Never seen both done

My guess is someone found a fawn and tagged it as a joke. If it is a deer farm escapee it just shows how easy cwd(if infected) can and will spread to a wild population.

Being in the cattle business, this is the most likely answer.

I once had a couple of employees somehow rope a young coyote while out checking cattle on horseback. We put ear tags in our wheat pasture cattle that has our name and telephone number on it. They put one of these tags in the coyote's ear. Imagine my surprise about 6 months later when a neighbor about 5 miles away called me and said he had shot one of my coyotes.

Ya we have tracked it back to a high fence operation about 10 miles from where the pic was taken. I didn't even know it existed... haha Anyway sounds like she is / was a high dollar breeder doe. Bonus for me! I hope she hangs around, she has a fawn with her so extra bonus! I hope she survives the season.

Any idea on how she got out of her enclosure?

Pretty cool that she has survived in the wild long enough to have a fawn.
