Looking for information on hunting Shawnee national Forest in Illinois. I'm getting some conflicting information or misunderstanding some information possibly but wondering if anyone can help me out. My main question is, can you hunt on any Shawnee property or can you only hunt certain areas?
I read one thing that says basically any Shawnee property and another that says specific areas so just trying to figure out what's correct.. appreciate any help!

I have no knowledge or experience in Illinois, but other members here live and hunt in that State, perhaps one of them will chime in.
Your local Fish and Game office should be able to answer where you're allowed to hunt.

Yes there are certain areas that are restricted at times. What areas are you looking at because the Shawnee is scattered all over Southern Illinois. I hunt primarily Shawnee in the SE of the state so i may be able to give you some help but havent hunted much on the West side of the state for some reason.
