Looking for some info on Shawnee county from you Kansas boys. I have a co-worker that has access to land about 25 minutes south of Topeka. How's that area for deer & turkey hunting? The land has timber and a pond. He'd like to know what it has to offer. From just glancing at an aerial photo I'd guess good area?
To be honest there are Deer and Turkeys everywhere in Kansas. Your question is hard to answer because it obviously depends on what the land consist of to know if there are deer and turkeys on that particular piece of property. But yes there are deer and turkey in every county in the state and every area could be a good area in Kansas.
There are lots of deer in tgat area. I went to school in Manhattan and drove by Topeka a lot going to and from school. The property just needs going features. I got properties here in Iowa that suck and a few miles away have a great property. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
Most of the hunting in ALL of KS really sucks anymore, if I were you I wouldn't waste my time or money. Much better odds in WI.
