I know we have a few guys on here that really like to read books about whitetails. I thought I would share a shameless plug for a book I just got and read cover to cover last night. The book is written by a friend of mine Todd Mead, who I met years ago while shooting competitive archery. "A Lifetime of Big Woods Hunting Memories" is a fantastic read about killing mature bucks above the "blue line" in NY's Adirondack park. I know a lot of you have read the stories of mine about deer hunting in the Adirondacks, and this books is by far the best read I've ever seen on this. Todd and his Dad Charlie are also by far the most successful hunters I've met in the Adirondacks........as you can see from the pics below. www.toddmead.com
Thats a great book cover. I love the old school deer photos with camo from the old days and trucker hats. Maybe I will pick it up this winter.
First thing I thought of when I saw it. Awesome cover. I love hunting the big woods. The last 3 years I have taken a bit of a hiatus from hunting around my camp in Ontario to hunt more in Illinois, and to tell the truth, I miss it a lot. I believe next year I won't be spending as much time down there as I will at camp. Something about the huge tracts of unspoiled land. This is a book I will definitely be ordering.....soon. Thanks for the heads up Miller!
Yeah, the cover is pretty neat, and a bit nostalgic for me even though my earlier years of hunting were still amidst the "tech" camo patterns of today. Sounds like a very interesting read.
Rick, that is the type of book that I would love to read. Thank you for letting us know and good luck to your friend with his book sales.
