I've got a new plot location inside of the woods. I am looking for a good shady seed blend that does well in shaded areas, 3-4 hours of decent sun a day. Does anyone have any recommendations and first hand use of a blend that worked great for them in a shaded spot. Thanks in advance!

AntlerKing NoSweat and Game Changer Clover. Works great for what you want. Just need good soil to seed contact.

Lacrosse Seed, field and shady area mix.

    • 20% Mammoth Red Clover
    • 15% Dwarf Essex Rape
    • 15% Endo-Graze XL Perennial Ryegrass

Field mix was developed to provide excellent forage feed for deer in the Spring, Summer and Fall. This mix was designed to perform well under a wide range of growing and soil conditions in the upper mid-west. Field mix can be planted in areas ranging from full sun to semi-shade. Excellent choice for plot areas along wood lines or open spots in the woods.

I will first go on record by saying that if possible try to obtain 4-6 hours of sunlight in your location of choosing. However, if not possible I would recommend Grandpa Ray Outdoors Inner Sanctum Blend.

    35% Buck Oats
    20% Festuolium
    10% Alsike Clover
    10% Berseem Clover
    10% Balansa Clover
    10% Rape
    5% Ladino Clover
