I have a secret spot that is an awesome location. It is in an oak bottom and a few years ago several large oaks were uprooted by some severe weather. That created a nice opening about 30 yards by 40 yards or so. I can get to it and till it up but there is still some serious canopy in the area. It does get sun just not a ton of it. Any recomendations for a seed or mix that might do well in shaded conditions??

Ive heard rye works in situations like that. But it all depends on how shaded it is and the moisture in the soil throughout the year.
Anything could work I guess, its pretty much all a guessing game if it will for that particular plot. Trial and error my friend.

There are certain types of clovers that will do very well in shady areas.
