currently i use the kodak playsport to try and record any footage. its been fun and enjoyable but sometimes, like this past weekend, i didnt have time to turn it on to record. i didnt shoot the spike but i still enjoy recording them.

if i was to set up my red 40 and aim in it the direction that i want to shoot and set it on video, would it work? i was thinking about putting it on the tree i will climb and hoping for the best... i just dont want to take a chance of ruining an oppurtunity once the camera begins recording. any advise on the matter would be appreciated.

Starting to see a lot of videos popping up these days from people doing exactly what you are talking about. Between these newer trailcams with HD video & sound and pov cams like Epic & GoPro that can be remotely activated, people are getting some cool shots!

If you set up a trailcam, be sure that you set the video length for a longer time than you might normally. 15-20 seconds might now cut it. I'd rather have to edit down a video than have it cut out before I got the shot off.
