I wouldn't shoot the Maxx, I don't believe that 62# is enough for a 2 3/8" cut. That's big cut for low poundage in my opinion. My personal preference is anything under 70# fixed blade. I have used mechanicals in the past but that was before I knew how to get a fixed blade to fly right. Now all I shoot are fixed blade.
