Wondering, why couldn't you serve your cables where they go through your cable slide. Seems like an area that wears some, probably would cost you some fps. What other con's or issues am I not thinking of?
You could, though I think the serving may actually wear on the cable slide at that point. Buy a Sims teflon slide and don't worry about a thing. Sims Limbsaver Teflon Cable Slide - Sportsman's Warehouse
My bow is served through the shives (cable slides..rollers) and this does wear. It is what it is. If the serving is tight and done right it should help. May be more trouble than it is worth on some bows.
The hyperglide is the best slide we've found. We have several customers that will request that we serve their cables where they go through the slide. We use a small diameter serving and the most we've ever seen was a 1fps loss in speed.
I have the Saunders hyperglide, there was a bur on it from when it was manufactured that I ran a file over so there may be no issue going forward but I like my gear as bomb proof as possible which is why this peaked my interest.
I have heard that some of them had burrs. But not a big deal once filed. Hard to beat a Saunders hyperglide. Hutch
