Why can't I have a high score AND a decent X count? It seems if I have a higher score, I have a lower X. If I have a higher X, I have a lower score I shot my official round Monday and shot a 293-11x. Up two points, down 4X from last week. Shot a practice round tonight, and shot a 289-15X. Lol, this is tough. Matt, Scott, or anyone who knows, what a decent x count for a hunter setup?
Don't worry about your x's as long as you get more 10's than everyone.:d And by the way, your scores are very good for a hunter setup.
Your X count is fantastic for a hunter setup. With that said, quit worrying about X's...........they don't count anyhow unless you can shoot 90 10 rings in a row. :d Seriously, I wouldn't even worry about the X's unless you are occasionally cleaning the target on 10's once in a while. Focus on what it takes to get you there, not the outcome.
I've been having similar results, getting increasingly higher scores, but with increasingly lower X counts. Seems *****, but I'll happily take the higher scores It was only 5 degrees today, I shot the 1st half at a 149-3x, which I can hardly believe , but the cold started to get to my hands and my bow shoulder started to weaken (my brother was up and I was holding my nieces and nephew all weekend, man, my arms are sore!), so I fell apart the second half; 140-2x. If I can focus, I'm hoping to break the 290's for the first time! FOCUS GRASSHOPPER
