Looking to take the old man on a hunt this fall. We hunt in SC...and have hunted all over but I want to take him on a 3-5 day hunt where we have a good chance to see 130+ or so.

I don't have the funds to drop $2200 each on TX or Ks so looking for ideas. Thinking Kentucky maybe west central GA or something along those lines.

Perfect set up would be get access to land and hang our own stands etc.

    Ideas?

Are you looking for a public land DIY hunt or a semi guided type of hunt?

Not looking for public land.......and probably can't afford a big outfitter type.

More of a farmer with 300-500 acre that has some stands and plots set up and would let us take a buck and a doe each.

We can also bring stands etc

There is a outfitter in Northern MO tombstone creek outfitters that have a bunch of land and you can go and hang stands. It is a lot cheaper than a regular outfitter service and they have some really good deer there. I know a few other guys have posted about using the same type of set up this year in other states. Missouri is an over the counter tag state as well.
