Hey guys, Just wanted to hear about your film setups for hunting. I have a really good standard video camera with great zoom. However what im looking for is a tree bracket microphone and whatever else i may need for filming hunts, and any tips you may have for a begginer at filming hunts like myself. So lets see and hear about those setups! Thanks!
My setup is pretty basic too. I have a Canon Vixia HF M500 camera, the 3rd Arm Mini Pro XL. It has decent battery life and works well in low light. The camera arm is light and fits nicely in a pack but extends to 33 inches. It supports cameras up to 3 lbs. I tried mounting a camera on the bow for the shot but they usually end up all blurry on the shot from the vibration. Its nice to have a remote if you can so that you don't have to move as much if possible. For ground blinds cheap camera tripods at Walmart work fine for me. If you are all into fluid heads you can always upgrade those later. I currently am terrible at videoing but hope to get better. Good luck and I look forward to seeing some video from you this year.
I am thinking about getting into filming my hunts as well. What would you guys recommend for video cameras? I am a college student so the cheaper the better- I understand I will get what I pay for. I will have buddies that can help film but I will do some filming on my own. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
