Selective Coloring, Photography or Art?

    Recently entered a photography contest on another site. The person that won the contest there submitted a photograph with selective coloring. For those who don't know what that is, it's when you make the photograph black and white except for the part of the photo you want to draw attention to. I enjoy selective coloring myself (see below), but I personally think it's more art than photography. What do you think?

    Good photography is art :tu:

    Like all other fads, if used correctly, it can enhance an already strong image. It can also look like you were trying to polish a turd.
