Very cool John. I love putting my carcasses out after I've butchered them. Eagles, ravens, turkey vultures and of course the wolves!

Very cool John, I've only seen I think 3x of them in my life. Up here they are primarily fish eaters and stay near water.

Do you have a big population of them down there?

Great pics guys! We have a couple of nesting pairs near where I hunt, very regal birds.

I've been wondering about Bald Eagle populations down there, being an American Symbol. Are they not all over ?
The last few years we've been seeing more and more where I live (North Eastern Ontario), and where I Whitetail hunt in Northwestern Ontario they are everywhere. 2 years ago I saw 5-7 on one big tree. 3 Golden eagles and the rest Bald. Of course alot of good eating for them during deer season...

They really start showing up this time of year when the rivers freeze over up North. Sometimes driving up the Great River Road between Alton and Grafton, IL you can see dozens of them in the trees and on the ice out in the river.

The last couple of years ther has been a nesting pair during the summer right off a busy road outside of Alton near the lock and dam on the river. Good supply of fish to be had there.

Very cool John! Mike and I saw a few this fall crusing up and down the creek where we hunt. I tried getting some footage of them, but they were too dang high up to really see anything.

I see them along the Wisconsin river by the Dells regularly. They've really made a comeback since DDT was banned

    Cool pics John.

I had one fly over me this past weekend. It was low enough that I could see it was looking at me. (blaze orange weekend)

BTW, it's a myth that DDT caused a reduction in the population of birds of prey. It's a really popular myth.. and a personal peeve of mine. ;)

That is too cool. I had never seen a bald eagle in real life until this last fall. In Brock Texas, a bunch of buddies and I were camping and we had a bald eagle flying over us. He got with in 30 yards of us. It was simply amazing.

Very cool John! I've thought about doing that over a gutpile up in Canada, but they get eaten too fast and would most likely get only ravens and eagles.

We have a ton of eagles around camp. 5 or 6 nest sites on our lake alone. Its not uncommon to see a dozen a day up there. Here's a few pics one of my guests took a couple years ago.
