After having my first trail camera stolen this year ive been looking into these. I have a moultrie M80 and they make a box specifically for it. Are they safe enough to leave out and not worry about being ripped off? Any reviews or past excperiences are appreciated.

I use security boxes on all my cameras. The ones I use on my commercial cams are the camlock boxes. Stay away from the box made by Moultrie. I have seen video where they were easy to steal the camera from. While a good lock box will make it harder for someone to get your camera, nothing is 100% theft-proof. A lock box will keep an honest man honest but if someone comes back with a pair of bolt cutters, they can take most cameras. Mine lag bolt to the tree and after reading where someone had their's taken that was lag bolted, I started using large washers on the lag bolts. Here is the link for the security box maker. Good luck!

Had a box on mine and it got stolen with the camera. They can deter but if someone wants it bad enough they will get it. They just cut the python cable and the pad lock.
