After lamenting a couple days ago that I thought we had just missed a bobcat at the set where we took our gray ... I received some advice on making a rub-post set a few yards downwind of the primary set... The next night we took that beautiful red from that first set, and careful observers could see the rub-post set in the background. Though we did take our first bobcat (of course, everything's a first at this point, LOL!) from another set that same day, the rub-post was left alone. That is, until last night... :d Here we are approaching the set this morning, to give you an idea about location... You can see the first set that took the gray and red fox to Matthew's immediate right: A litle closer... Closer still The REAL payoff...
Thanks! Nope, another big female. I'm after one of those big males, though... my taxi already put dibs on him when I catch him, so he's sold and don't know it yet!
Damn Greg, you having a blast, I am soooo jealous! Congrats brother, I bet the boy is having to much fun!!!!!!!
I gotta get to the water cooler more often, I'm missing some good stuff here. Man you guys have really taken off with this trapping thing. You act like you know what your doing. Looks like a lot of fun Greg.
Congrats Greg, that's awesome that your son enjoys it as well. I did the same thing with my dad when I was little, that's how he made a large portion of his living when I was young and he was in college... Very very cool, please keep the updates coming!
You should send me the meat. lol. jk. sry. I have been bugging my wife for us to try something new. She said like what? Crab? Lol, no like Armadillo, or horse, or something weird.
The bobcat looks very calm in the last pic with the boys :D . Congrats, I've never even seen a bocat and you killed 2 in 2 days LOL.
I have seen them. I hit one with a snowball once. He was walking through a bunch of cars, on our base. I hit him in the back of the head. Crabby little suns of guns. PS: He hissed, we ran.
