Just to get it over with, how many of you are picking my Tide to get rolled on by Florida. No pun intended.

I think the general consensus in the media is that Alabama is actually going to win this game.

I still like Florida of course because I don't think McElroy is good enough to beat the Gators. Ingram and Richardson will get theirs, but they will by no means run all over Florida. Mcelroy hasn't face a secondary nearly as good as Florida's all year and I think that could be the difference in the game.

Also- Tim Tebow plays for UF.

yeah - just like LAST YEAR

Gators roll over the tide - hell you all almost lost to Auburn this week.

    Gators 35 - Bama 10

    Tebow gets the Heisman again...

Florida plays Texas - 3rd Ring for Tim.

if FL shuts down the bama running game and forces mcelroy to beat them in the air florida will win... bama's D has to bring their A game as well...

the sad truth of the matter is that regardless of who wins or loses both of these teams should meet for the NCAA champ game in january... Texas is going to get embarassed by either of these teams... badly

    ok, if you sy so...

TX has played ONE (i'll say it again, ONE) ranked team and beat them by 3 pts... they've had a cake walk schedule... most overrated team in college football right now... except for maybe boise state...

Just curious to all of you anti-SEC fans out there.

HAve you ever watched an entire game? Watched players like Joe Haden, Javier Arenas, Brandon Spikes and Rolando Mcclain tackle and fly around the ball? Watched Mark Ingram run the ball or how physcial the front 7s are for all the teams?

Simply put they are just head and shoulders above players at similar positions for teams in the rest of the country.

This has been a crappy year for the SEC and we still have the #1 and #2 spot and usually like 4 or so in the top 10. Its a basher of a conference.

I have watched a half dozen or so SEC games this year...

I agree the SEC is the best conference overall.... But Texas is no slouch either.

I just find it funny you guys claim wins before the first snap is taken.

BTW I am not anti- SEC....

Not sure what that's all about. We are discussing Texas, Bama and the Gators... Not Ohio State.

I am a big time SEC guy, but I personally think Texas can and will give either Florida or Bama a tough game.

To answer the original question, I think Bama if going to have a tough time Saturday. The couple of their games I have watched they get bogged down in the red zone and have to settle for FGs instead of TDs.

Texas is an elite team. They recruit enough athletes to beat Florida and Alabama. I just can't stand watching Big 12 defenses other than Oklahoma and Texas and it bothers me to watch Texas cruise through their regular season against Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Kansas and teams of the such.

But enough talk of OSU, Texas and those schools. We'll talk about Texas in the national championship game.

This is about the the most hyped SEC championship game ever!

    Proceed.

I think FL has had a fairly light schedule even by SEC standards. Dont forget that they arent wining in the convincing fashion that they were last year against so so SEC teams like Arkansas, Miss St, and Tenn. But that said Bama has had their share of close games too. I think Bamas D (the best FL will face) is going to shut down Tebow and their run game which will also hurt the pass game. It should be a good defense battle and fairly low scoring. Im picking bama by 6 because of defense. And i also think McCoy will win the Heisman, Tebow doesnt have the numbers this year.

    Tebow >>>>> McElroy
    Rainey/Demps <<<<<< Ingram/Richardson
    Florida defense = Alabama defense

It's close, but I'm picking Florida in this game.

i'll take this one step further:

    Spikes=McClain

    Meyer > Saban

    James = Arenas

Tiffin > Sturgis(this one is close though)

I can see the Arenas greater than James revision. Arenas has put up better numbers but James is due for one this year.

I do not, however, think Nick Saban is a better head coach than Urban Meyer. But for argument's sake let's say they are equal, we still have Charlie Strong :D

If you want to throw in common opponents, Alabama faired much better than Florida...except the Tennesse game. Nothing you posted has any bearing on the game Saturday, other than homerish pride and there is nothing wrong with that either. I usually remain on the fence when trash talking about my home team because I am a piss poor loser, and I have not found a good recipe for crow.

Phillip said it best, we keep getting stuck in the red zone and kicking field goals and that will not beat Florida. What worries me more is the fact we have been spotting teams points early on lately...I can assure you we will not be able to reel Florida in like Auburn and a few others this year.

I do want to point out that saying Spikes is better than Mclain...yeah not so much. Both are very good, but Mclain is the best LB in the country bar none. Remember, he lost a fellow stud (Hightower who is 6' 4"ish, 265 and a 4.6 40) to a knee injury and we have not missed a beat.

I do not want a good game, I want Alabama to Roll by 30, but as a realist I just hope we do not piss it away early. I also want to add that while a great player, Tebow looks a little more human this year with Harvin running around for the Vikings, and not there to constantly dump the ball off to.

    ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!
