I’m planning on buying a Food Saver soon. I’m just shopping for the right model at this point. I’ve seen a lot of articles discussing seasoning prior to vacuuming and freezing. For those of you who do this, do you use the same amount of seasoning as you would normally? It seems to me that some of the seasoning would be absorbed into the meat, even while sitting in the freezer and therefore you could get away with a little less seasoning if you season prior to freezing. I hope this is true because I’ve recently been placed on a low sodium diet and I’m looking for a way to use less salt or salt-based seasoning and still get the same flavor.

    Thanks

I personally have not seasoned before freezing but I have considered it. Just have never done it. I think it would be easier to marinate first while your already doing the work. Then all you have to do it pull it out of the freezer and go.
