I put in the most time I could this year and now it's over. I killed a deer with the bow opening day on October 1st and never got another chance.

Very low deer numbers this year for me. Only saw about 8-10 deer total.

Just never really got on them this year.

I got started late with the "comeback" season (haven't hunted in 10 years) and didn't get any scouting in. Found great sign but just didn't see the deer.

I hunted 2 brand new places and will build on it for next season. Gotta get the scouting in. Nobody to blame but me.
But oh did I have fun!

I'm in Upstate New York near Saratoga Springs. One week left of southern bow but I think I'm hanging it up. My only area to hunt is pressured like crazy from gun season.

I'll hunt these spots again but gotta find some new ones too.

At least you're back in the game. Not much time to take off. Start scouting this winter!

Season's over here in Vt. too so we're looking at some new food plot areas on our land.

It feels good getting back into it. I'm going through it right now after about 13 years away. I bought myself a new bow last week and I can't believe I forgot how much I loved archery. I can't wait for next year.

I just got 2 trail cameras and plan to pick up 2 more soon. They are getting deployed in a week or two. Also waiting for some snow so I can go for a walk and see what's getting pounded.

The farm I hunt has an abundance of food and I think that made it hard. Corn all over, alfafa fields and clover fields. Acorns everywhere. Water everywhere. Farm Is like 600 acres. Those cameras and some scouting will have you seeing 8 deer a sit next season. Seasons never over. Welcome back to the game.
