Where in North Carolina are you guys going. I have only heard one bird all season (my worst season ever) but I bowhunt all national forest. The private land boys are slowing down as well. Hopefully you will be down east.

Thanks for all the great comments. I was blessed to harvest my first tom with a bow. A few years ago (actually my last bird I harvested) Jeff Kaye and I sat in on our first hunt together and I took a Jake with my bow with snow on the ground. A great memory. After helping friends and my girlfriend harvest a 8 birds in the past 2 years without even getting my bow to full draw, it felt great to fill a tag this spring. I enjoy guiding, mentoring the youth, filming, and shooting photos of turkeys and everything else about spring. Congrats to Mr. DeCroo and Mr. Rector on great hunts as well. A special thank you to my friend Josh Preissner for again filming my hunt! From the sounds of it, there are alot more great hunts coming our way! Brandyn our editor has is work cut out for him! BHOD
