I filmed my hunts last weekend and today I went to pull them from the SD card to save them to my computer. The problem is that when I try to view them, it only plays the audio. Yet when I view them on the camera they work just fine. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

You may need to download the drivers from the manufacturer. Search the model number of your camera and search for driver software support.

Drivers or the computer might not have enough RAM or processor to handle them in a Windows Media or Quicktime type of viewer. I actually have that problem with one of my PC's. If I take the video files off of my Canon XA20 and simply try to watch them, I get choppy video and no audio. But once I dump them into my editing program and process them for a video production, I then have no issues. It is simply an inability for my hardware to keep up with the demands of the file.

I just had the same problem, I got online and found a download called VLC media player. It is free and it worked for me. If you have a newer computer the problem is windows 7 doesn't recognize mpg files. Downloading this media player should fix your issue.
