What do you guys run for SD cards in your cams? Do you get the cheaper ones or the more expensive ones?

Depends on the video and how fast you want a camera to recover after taking a picture in multimode. If you want to do full HD just get a class 10 card and you'll be safe.

I use San Disk. Perform great for me, including high resolution pics and video. Just make sure all your cards are formatted and use them strictly for a particular camera.

Can I ask why you do this? Have you has problems switching between cams. I know my brother just swaps cars out between his moultree, cuddeback, stealthcam, and covert and has never had any problems.

I had a problem with it when I first started using digital trailcams. I used a card that had been used for another device and everything came out encrypted. I ended up having to take the card to the local college's media department where they were able to untangle everything. I never mixed cards after that and I never had another problem.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

Ok...thanks. I was wondering too. I have 2 Wildgame Innovations, 1 Bushnell, 1 Moutrie, 1 Stealth Cam. The new Red 6 Wildgame cam is the best picture taking one I have. But I always just switch the cards back and forth and Haven't had any issues. I do have a friend that had that issue once but I reformatted the card on my laptop and its worked great since. Thanks Jim!

I use the san disk cards that are the micro SD but come with the adapters. I run these in all my cams.

With my phone, I can pop the back of it off and swap the micro SD cards, save the pictures to my phone, then put the empty card back.
Some of the property I hunt is far away and so I don't have lug my laptop around. Also, I can swap the card with another on my way to stand and check them when I'm in stand.

I like using my microsd card in an adapter. I don't like dragging my laptop in the woods, and with the microsd I can pop it in my phone. Once I pull the card I'm too impatient to wait until I get home. I'm with a previous post, though, at least a class 8 or 10.

I am a card swap guy,but always format the card in the cam I also try and keep the cards to the same brand of cam. When I look at my pics on my home computer or lap top I may delete the pics but only format in the cam
As far as sd cards I have great luck with sandisk.cards from walleworld and Kingston cards
