I have used 2gb-16gb cards... we normally try and check cameras every 2-3 weeks so filling up a card has never been an issue. We have had card with way over 1000 pics before... we changed the settings to lower sensitivities.. but most of our cards are 4gb... with a few 2's and 8's mixed in now.

I normally try and keep the 2's for back up but since we have added a few cameras the 2's are going out... wont even be putting all the cameras out because we don't have enough cards. And I don't want to buy any at wally world because we are gonna try and order some of Amazon and save a few bucks and get better Sandisk 8gb here soon.

Just to have a little peace of mind, does anybody know the approximate capacity of the 2,4,8 gb cards running 6 and 8 mp's? (especially the 2's)

It's around 7,500 at 8 mp on a 8 gb card so it would be half of that for a 4 gb (3,750) and a quarter of that on a 2 mp (a little shy of 2,000).
