Has anyone ever been to SD for an early season bow antelope hunt? From the way it sounds, most landowners allow antelope hunters on their land as they could care less about antelope out there. I guess has anyone had any good luck in the past, and if so, maybe have some contacts or a general idea of where to hunt. This would be my first time going, so any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
I've hunted Wyoming for Antelope - it's a blast! This year I'm headed back for round two on August 29! It's a blast - good luck in SD! Where are you thinking about hunting?
A buddy and I were talking last night about getting together for an antelope hunt sometime. Keep us updated on how everything pans out!
I hunt antelope in SD every year. While a lot of landowners do allow it. It can be difficult tracking down who owns stuff and then finding them. Also antelope travel so much you have to have a large tract of permission. I choose to hunt public because there is plenty. Pm me with any questions ill try to help the best I can. Sent from iPhone
I definitely wouldn't plan on hunting without securing a place to hunt ahead of time. You might be really disappointed. Definitely take Krohboy up on his offer. Neal are you going to hunt with Dubbya again?
Hope you put one down! Good luck, can't wait to see the footage. As far as private or public I have never done this hunt but someday soon I would like to. 2 years hopefully (Colorado next year).
I hung sheet rock in Dubb's house last week. More than enough antelope in the area. Good luck to you.
I'm thinking for my daughter's 16th birthday, I'll take her to SD for a daddy/daughter antelope hunt. Sounds like a lot of fun.
I have never been out west here, but from talking to a few of my hunting friends at work (one leaves for his hunt this coming Thursday) they typically plan on hunting public because there is an abundance to hunt out there. He has been going for the last 5 years and never came back without an antelope so I think the public must be a pretty good route to take.
