All joking aside, I have a 98 Ram with 210K and just keeps on going. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
I am in northern Michigan somewhere Actually my buddy let me use his truck while mine gets fixed. On Friday I had the oil changed, my wife took it. They talked her into changing the rear def fluid. I never let oil place changes do that kind of work. Guess what blew out? The rear def
Sounds like someone forgot.to put the oil in ..... And Josh .... don't do it! Lightning doesn't strike twice!
Not the UAW you should be "screwing," but I bet you've learned your lesson on finding a reputable shop to do your work. As for the negative Dodge comments, we all have our brands, and they all have their problems!
Damn, sorry for that. Have the repair shop tell you weather there was gear oil in there or not. Did you hear it whineing at all?
Are you still under warranty? It will be lots of fun getting the oil change place to admit they made the mistake.
I felt about an hour into our trip something was wrong. The truck was running hot and was working hard to pull the trailer. When I pulled into the rest area I could smell it, I did not want to admit it. Truck cooled right down and we were on the way. I could feel it losing power and the bam. I'm betting on improper/lack of lubrication. I don'tthink that would be the fault of the manufacturer but it is still messed up when you try to take care of your vehicle and your doing right causes things to go wrong. I highly doubt you'll get Jiffy Lube or whomever to stand behind it though but it is worth a try. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
