Anyone finding any yet? I want to make a fake one and put my trail cam over it but I don't want to do it too early.

I just made two mock scrapes this past weekend and put my camera over one of them. IMO it's not too early for them. Deer use scrapes as a means of communication all year long. Just don't put any doe estrous urine in it and you should be fine.

I just made on this weekend under a low hanging branch. I'm going to check it in a couple of weeks to see what has happened.

I've found them all year long. Some scrapes are kept active all year, others are "re-activated" during pre-rut, every year, some I see and never see again.

A buck only revisits 10-20% of the scrapes he makes. Gotta recon it a bit. Scout and find one that has signs of being used year after year.

Mock scrapes ? I've made a few. I've watched both doe and buck tend scrapes I've made and I've watched both walk right past otehrs that I've made.

As far as a means to bringing in a big buck, I'd emphasize other tactics before putting a ton of faith into a mock scrape.
