I went down to my property last weekend and let my buddy hunt it since I can't yet. He shot a narlly buck and a big Doe in an hour and a half of being in. Then I walked him around the property and we found several huge scrapes down a trail but no rubs anywhere. I'm lost have you ever seen this before and if so what can it mean . The scrapes where about a 3 or 4 ft wide and the hoof drags are big. About 3 1/2" toe spread. HELP

It means hunt them asap and set a trailcam overlooking one of the big scrapes. I'm hunting a logging trail that I made mock scrapes on, which are man made scrapes. The bucks make these to show not only territory, but to come back and scent check to see what does are urinating on for estrous does. And other bucks will check them to leave their scent on them as well for dominance. good luck!
