trying to do a little survey of my own. do you guys like hunting scrapes mornings or evenings? these results could help me decide when to hunt a particular area where I have some scrapes and rubs on the edge of a clearcut. this clearcut is bedding and great cover for him. along with these scrapes are tons of rubs as well. this area is on the down hill side of the cut and I worry if I hunt it in the morning the thermals will push my scent up into his domain. if I hunt it in the evening I know my wind and thermals will be dropping away from his bedding area which is great. but I want to be there when my odds are greatest for him to be there working scrapes and rubs. Decisions? Decisions?

Oh by the way we are going to get 3" of snow tomorrow.

I'd recommend a long morning sit but not until Halloween. My advice would be get there at least an hour early. He may check the scrapes before first light on his way to bed then come back mid to late morning to check if any Does came through in their morning travels.

When specifically hunting over a scrap I have had more success in the evening...
