I have the 20 days to finish my bow season here in Central, Il. I know I should be hunting evening and do it either near a food source or on a travel path to/from a food source and bedding area. I am going out to a spot where I have seen a herd in the morning several times in the last week. I have a stand over 2/3 scrapes that I know have been visited in the last week. Now I know that bucks should not be working scrapes in Central, IL at this time. But many deer are still being seen under that stand. I have a weeze, a snort, a bleet and a rattle bag...should I bother taking any of them? Should I put out any scents? I am expecting 30 degrees and a great wind for that stand...any thoughts?

Bring a versatile grunt call and use light grunts if a deer is going away from you. Don't use it a lot and maybe even try doe grunts instead of buck. Good luck.
