So I hung a dripper over an active scrape a week ago and today I found what looked like dog dookie!!! My first thought was that someone had put it on there as there has been some shady activity on the property this year. Upon further examination I noticed a lot of hair in the poo. Could it have been some type of predator?

Would a cyote take a shat on a scrape? How does this effect a buck? I would imagine it would turn him off?

    Your thoughts/ experiences!!!!

    Thanks,
    Joe

For sure coyote - they don't seem to worry the bucks around here but they do worry the yearlings...shouldn't affect your hunting much though. I've seen deer following wolf tracks through snow - I think they figure the wolves have already been there and won't be back for a while...better to follow the wolf than it follow you eh?!.
