Anyone ever used this before. I talked to someone that uses it and he said it works really great. I used it on a mock scrape by my stand. It looks like dirt in a package. I opened it and it has some very strong odor. Supposed to last 30 days and keep scrape fresh. So they say.

He also said that he will go around and break off all the licking branches on any other scrapes in the area. Anyone ever done this or heard of it? I didn't do that in my area b/c I was afraid to disrupt the area.

I agree with you, I never disrupt the area, I may add a thing or two, such as scents, food etc but never disrupt their area. I try to make sure that my body, gear or clothes don't touch anything even when walking to my stand, so I would say to leave the area as you found it.

I've used the Code BLue a couple times but only when making mock scrapes. they do hit the scrape so IMO it works. I don't disrupt an active area, though. Keep that place as pristine as possible.

I have been using made scapes for about 10 years with some success. I use to use drippers but with the Grave Digger you only have to go by the scapes once.

This is my second year trying Grave Digger. I made 25 scapes or so in the spring. I moved a few licking branches at that time. I just cut them off and tie them where I want. Come prime time, all I have to do is lightly scape the leaves off and add the Grave Digger. I use rubber gloves even in the spring. Licking braches are used all year for a comunication post. I have game camera pics of deer using them in January, March and June (and Oct/Nov of course).

The other day, I saw a 16" wide 8pt using a scrape I made this spring. It was only 2 days after I put in the Grave Digger. He even used the licking branch I moved there. That was cool.

    Hints:
Disturb as little as possible in the fall.
Mark the scrapes you make in the spring. Once things green up/grow some were hard to fine in the waist high ferns.
I make a row of 6-7 scapes in a 100 yards or so. I have seen many "scrapes lines" in the past so I figured why not.
Keep you eye open for licking branches not in you hunting area to move to your location.
