I have never been a scrape hunter, but lets be honest what I have been doing the past two years is not working, I can admit to that and my record supprts it:p

The white blocks are buck scrapes
The red are my mock scrapes
    Orange blocks are bedding areas

For the scrape hunters, how would you guys hunt and where would you hunt to catch a buck in a scrape.

I have two dippers, where would you put them?

Germ can you put your cam on the scrapes without much intrusion. Might give you an idea of what exactly is going on as far as the time frames bucks are hitting them and help with a plan.

Gary, I scrape em up tight to bedding areas this time of year. Its often the only way I can get the older bucks on their feet. Bedding area are often thought of as taboo but I disagree if done carefully.

It's worth a shot Germ. Where the rubber boots and such, latex gloves as well. Troy opened a new book for me.

no room for sloppy tactics in there though, its simple biology, no human odor directly on anything in your mocks.. boots and latex gloves help a lot imo.. good luck nice to put them in with the RIGHT wind.. too.. and right before a rain.. use a dripper to help you out after the rain passes and cleans out your path..
