So I was making them yesterday morning and I added my regular touch of milk to mix with them and the wife says nooooo you add water. I said thats what you city folks do its milk all the way. What do you guys use milk, water, other, or nothing? She had to throw in that she aint city folk being from Spring Grove, IL. I said you sure in the heck weren't farmers. Of course you know how it went with the rest of the conversation.
I don't like anything in my scrambled eggs, but I like to scramble them in the pan, slowly, while they cook. My wife insists on milk, added before cooking, with the yolk beaten completely. She does have fluffy eggs, but I like the slightly undercooked mix of white and yolk
peppers oinion cheese ham tomato garlic peparoni seasoning salt mrs dash anything to hide the taste of the eggs
When I do add liquid, it's half and half or heavy cream. Never heard of adding water. Mix with salt, pepper, some grated cheese and some sauteed onions. Fried up in some bacon grease. That's the way to do scrambled eggs. I get my eggs fresh from my hens and they're really tasty so I now eat most of my eggs over easy.
OK, I'll be the first to admit I'm no chef, but what good would it do to add water? Won't it just boil off? BTW, Milk, half and half or cream...add cheese and onions. dang it now I gotta go to the kitchen. (made myself hungry)
Nothing, some times I mix cheese in with them.I also scramble them in the pan while the eggs ar ebeing cooked.
Hmmmm, I guess I'm gonna be the loner here and say that I add water for the most part. I used to add milk, but lately, if I make an omelot, I'll add just a touch of water...they seem to come out the same for me.
added milk when i was younger, to make em go farther. "but now im up in the big leagues" and eat em with nothing now =-)
Adding water is very French. Only thing I add to my eggs are hot sauce, pepperjack cheese, salt, and a hint of good horseradish.
