So you're not judgmental at all? You don't look down upon people who commit crimes like rape or murder? You're telling me you just walk through life thinking none of that is any of your business? Give me a freaking break. EVERYONE is judgement, it's human nature.
Are Hooker and Germ gay or bi-sexual or maybe have kids that are? I like seeing all of the passion, but what's the motivation for several days of this? Thanks for the cheap entertainment and carry on.
And sure, I made judgments on people from time to time. Often I later find out Im wrong, so I try hardtop not do it. And most importantly, I don't run around saying they are going to hell if they don't agree with words made up way before my time.
You have to be gay or have gay kids to support equal rights? How about we just believe in actually being a conservative, leave people alone big government and let them live in the pursuit of happiness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't speak for Germ, but no, neither I, nor my child are gay. My wife does have gay uncles, who we love dearly. We also have a gay couple as neighbors. And my wife's boss is also gay. So there are people in my life that I care for that this law affects. Plus its been a really slow week at work
I think a good case could have been made against same-sex marriage if religion had been left out of it. I would like to see traditional moral values reintroduced into our culture. But we need better justification for those values than "It's in the Bible." Marriage was instituted by God? It says so in the Bible? C'mon people. Marriage has been happening all over the world even before somebody wrote the Bible. And marriage has been happening among people who never saw any Bible. Even people who ate the missionaries who came to teach them about the Bible had marriage. May The Sheep Be With You
For the record, I have spooned another man, lol So don't be too hard on the guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My point is that the laws that are made up in this country are laws of men, set up by men for man's purpose. People who believe in and follow the teaching of the bible have laws, rules, and teachings that they believe come from a higher source. For you to judge them by your statements like "words made up way before my time" is just an example of you judging them. You are talking down to them like they are foolish for having those beliefs, discounting that fact that those teaching could possibly be correct. I'm not a religious person, but I will never discount or mock someone who has faith that there is something bigger than us out there. You have done this multiple times in this thread, just something you might think about since you seem to be judging them just as harshly as they are judging homosexuals.
I am headed on vacation in my new trailer with my family, we'll be in the Michigan UP near the Wisconsin border. Everyone have a great 4th Owe no anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I knew you would come out of the closet at some point. Its quite fun to use fallacies on an internet forum the trick is to mix just a little bit of truth in with it. Carry on.
Yes, those teachings could possibly be correct. But when you justify them and promote them as valid because they were handed down from a higher power, the focus drifts away from whether or not they are correct.
Let us know when you are able to do that. I went to a gay wedding last Saturday. I even ate the rainbow cake afterwards. Therefore, I am gay. At least according to your logic. And yes, there is some truth mixed in there.
Why should they? You seem to be working off the premise that there is no reason to believe there is a god. I find it pretty humorous that so many people that preach tolerance, also discount peoples opinions that they do not themselves share. You may not believe there is a god, but that doesn't mean your beliefs are correct. Just as people who believe in god tend to discount the beliefs of non-believers.
I do believe in a creator. My beliefs are very strong, although some might find them strange. I just don't believe that the Bible is the Word of God. There are millions of people in this world who have a belief in God of some sort, but don't accept the Bible as the literal Word of God. I was raised to follow the moral teachings of my ancestors, which tend to be pretty much the same as those found in the Bible. But for some reason, some Christians seem to get upset when I mention that. The traditions of my ancestors are important because my religion, while it acknowledges right and wrong, does not include a detailed list of sins as does the Judeo/Christian Bible.
I feel like most religions probably started out very similar, and evolved as their societies evolved. If you have strong believes about what your religion teaches you, then you should fully understand why Christians have strong beliefs about what their religion teaches them.
