SCott Silverhorn NCS VS Little Bitty Goose NCS Like the NCS (Nylon connecting strap) on both, it makes for infinite length adjustment. I have fairly lg hands (lg – xlg gloves) and have found some releases with solid head connecting stems would not go long enough to provide a comfortable anchor. NCS strap allows you to tuck head up under your sleeve, out of the way for performing other tasks. Both releases are buckle wrist strap. Silverhorn; Love the way the open hook connects to a small loop. With little practice, one can make the hookup without looking at it. Stays on loop with no problem. Don’t like the way the hook stays open till you reset it. If it would reset on it’s own, it would be perfect. Little bitty goose; Caliper is more difficult to connect without looking at it, however it does reset itself. Trigger feel of both units are nearly identical, very smooth. Both are easily adjusted with a tiny allen wrench. Will likely hunt with the Silverhorn as a result of easy of hook up without looking or in low light conditions. Disclaimer, I have limited experience with other releases.
If you like the Silverhorn, look at the Rhino. I think it does reset on it's own. I have the Silverhorn NCS and I replaced the NCS with paracord which I carry an extra pre-tied and melted connector of the proper length in my bow case to replace it if needed.
What was the reason for replacing the nylon strap with the paracord? I considered the cord but opted for the strap for fear of the cord twisting, leaving me to fumble with that as a monster buck wanders off. Will have a look at the Rhino. Thanks JJD
