Many of us get WAY too excited or simply rush it or just don't know how to properly do it.

This post is not a blast or attack on anyone but an encouragement to do the following:

    -Watch scoring videos...helps tremendously.
-Know where and how to identify beginning point of tines.
-Go slow and take time, never trust that first score.
-Put the first scores aside and not visible...do the whole thing a second time and start with the opposite antler you did the first time. Compare once done with first one...any glaring issues...figure out why.

-Most official scorers are a free service, find one and have them do it....many taxidermists are scorers with tons of experience...take advantage of em.

-Eyeball other known scores of deer you trust...if your 145 looks smaller than that 132 you know was officially scored...something may be wrong.

Some other threads to check out that are useful: https://forums.bowhunting.com/threads/a-whitetail-scoring-how-to-tutorial.9167/

An older one that has linked images (not clear unless clicked on...may not work at all anymore who knows) but good comparison of bucks: https://forums.bowhunting.com/threads/scoring-your-buck-must-read-please.55363/

*Scores don't mean anything to why many of harvest, myself included...but once harvested we should desire an accurate score.

Hoping worrying about measuring a buck is something all reading this become in need of someday this year!!

I forgot to mention if desired I have an excel scorecard I created a while back which can be opened and numbers just plugged in and saved as to avoid handwritten scribbles and such. Or like I do save a scoresheet after first measuring, delete it all and re-do it a second time to see if I made any mistakes. Should you desire the spreadsheet just private message me and I can email it to you.

Yup...wait I only can speak for ScoreMyRack. Never used the one you mentioned. I prefer my excel sheet for printouts and such, but yea so long someone is competent in their measurements the apps work good.
