I've never measured a buck so I read the tutorial in the other section and took a go at it. I'd appreciate some estimates ! I imagine the taxi will be able to help me also. Thanks all !

I see about 95 inches. Congrats again!

You always get 4 mass measurements per side.

Right around 105 give or take a little. I'm seeing about 15" inside spread, 20-21" beams, 2.5-3" G1's, 9 and 7" G2's, and 3.5" G3's The mass as Scott said is 4 measurements, the last one being taken halfway between your G3's and the tips. He's a fine first buck, not gonna make any record books, but he's still a fine animal and one that you should be very happy with. Congrats again.....:tu:

I'd say between 110 and 120. Be sure to let us know. Nice first.

Thanks guys ! Here's what I came up with. Seems to be right along with everyone's educated guess'.

    L R

    19 1/8 M 19 1/8
    3 1/8 G1 3 3/8
    8 7/8 G2 8 6/8
    3 3/8 G3 4 2/8
    3 7/8 H1 3 7/8
    3 3/8 H2 3 3/8
    3 H3 3
    2 H4 2 1/8

    16 6/8 inside spread

    111 3/8 total

I was looking at your score and wondered how in the world I missed it by so much, so I added it up again. I got the same thing before I added the inside spread.... doh!

I was off on the spread though. I went 14.5. So my quess should have read 109.5.

Thanks again guys ! Just got back from the taxidermist and he came up with 110 3/8 so that's what I'll go with. Our main differences was the mass. I measured about midway and he did it the correct way and used the smallest diameter.

*edit* comparing the two straight up we were off in a few places
