Chiro. I go to mine no matter what is going on. There knowledge is unbelievable. Even if they can not fix it, they will know who you should go see, and why you should go see them. Also look into what Fitz said. Good Chiro's can do acupuncture. Mine got Both of my cousins to quit smoking with one needle treatment. Crazy stuff! Starting a pain pill routine and waiting it out is never the right solution.
    Good luck to you sir.

Have dealt with mine for 12 years now. Let me say I feel ya. When it flares up I have a terrible time walking or Doug anything. But I have learned to deal with it. The best for me is the stretching. The chair w 90 degree bend to the knees works great. I do it first to relieve pressure. Then I lay supine with my arms straight out and flat on the floor. Take one leg keeping them bith straight and cross it over the other at a 90 degree angle to your body. The key is to roll your hips over but keep your shoulders flat on the floor. Best stretch I've ever found! For strength I lay flat on my back with my legs straight and feet pointe tithe sky. Then I slowly roll both legs together down to the floor to the right and back up. Then to the left and back up. Also try an inversion table. A lot of the guys at the firehouse I'm at use it daily. They say it does wonder on the back. Good luck!!!
