Anyone heard from Steve and how he is doing on his bear hunt this week??? I'm hoping he stuck a beast with his recurve!

I believe he is hunting through Sunday or something like that. He should be back the first of the week. Hopefully Schultzy, Kelly, and Greg all have some stories to share when they get back.
I hope he is doing better than most of the MN bear hunters, I know. Warm weather, Wind, Acorns, and Berries. 2/8 of my friends have scored. Slow out my way. He is farther North...could make for better hunting.

Oh yeah, I'll keep at it. Only way to have success in the bear woods when they aren't cooperating is to hunt hard, and hunt often. I'm going to burn honey, tonight.
He'll probably be too wiped out to do anything tonight. What a slacker!! :computer: I mean, we sat here patiently all week for him to return, atleast he could post some pictures or say hello.
Sorry guys! No bear for me this fall, to be honest nobody In our hunting party got a bear. 1st time ever that we've gotten skunked! One of the toughest years bear hunting for me in 19 years of hunting them. I'll be starting a thread later tomorrow maybe on what all went on. I've got a hair raising story for you all that involves my brother and a very large chocolate colored bear. Who's fired Peak???
Sorry you had a tough hunt Steve. Its been like that everywhere this year. I have a good buddy hunting in WI right now and hes having a hell of a time because of the acorn drop.
