I've decided to go ahead and get my Masters license. I have been a journeyman electrician for 17 years. I plan on staying here at the university until I retire, so I don't really need a masters but it can't hurt.I guess it will look good on my resume if I ever need it. I wasn't even really thinking about it until my supervisor, the associate director of facilities, offered to have the school pay for the prep course and the test. So, tonight, I'm going to start a 6 week exam prep course. That exam I took for my journeymans license was a long time ago and some of the formulas and equations are rather blurry. If you don't use it you'll lose it kind of a thing. I know code fairly well as I take an update course on a regular basis but calculations will eat my lunch without a refresher. So tonight from 6:30-9:30 I'll be in school. I haven't been in a classroom environment other than an occasional seminar so this could get interesting. Wish me luck! well it wasn't bad! I thought the formulas,(Algebra), would eat my lunch but it came back to me pretty quickly. the fact that the instructor kept things interesting helped.
Good luck!!! I'm looking forward to the end of my second year, already :D So you're sayin' you get all the places...minus the fun stuff:D:D
Good luck! I finished college, taught for a year, and now I'm back in school for my Master's as well! Never thought I would go back again, but the benefits (pay) are worth it...hopefully it does the same for you.
