Hey guys so I have a schaffer opposition rest it never made much noise but the other day in the stand was a little chilly I drew on a nice buck and had to let down after a while and my rest made a very unpleasant noise but when I brought it home it didn't do it anymore I think it may have been really cold or something but if I put vegetable oil on the spring in the rest so you think that would help in the future in the stand

The schaffer rest doesn't drop away it opens and haz two springs in the inside to keep pressure it doesn't make that much noise. Because it doesn't actually drop away it opens
