Probably a big topic. But I am cha going scents this year. I have used special golden estrus the list few with minimal success. I am looking at buying the vs1 from conquest. Looking for input and other suggestions.

I use tinks doe pee most of the year for a cover scent and I didn't get busted last year. I used tinks estrus but I never had any miracles happen with it. This year I might put out a scrape dipper since I see a lot of guys have great luck with them.

I have had success with a drag rag using Tink's 69.

One of my most enjoyable hunts was over a huge bean field in the morning, I had to cross the field to get to a funnel that led to a bedding area. At the last moment, I decided to put a drag rag out since it was the rut. As the sun started to rise, I saw what I originally thought was a fox coming across the field...then it dawned on me that I never would have been able to see a fox in the low light Sure enough, it was a buck following my path across the field. Unfortunately, he took off when he got down wind of me. About 15 minutes later, here comes another buck along the same path, a bigger one too. Once again, once he got down wind he took off. Moral of the story, make sure your path isn't down wind of your stand! LOL!

Unfortunately we can't use real urine scents in VA anymore due to CWD concerns.
