    Hey guys,
I'm looking to get a new outer layer. As of right now I'm looking to get the under Armour ridge reaper and bibs. However, I have not really looked into scentlok. Any opinions on which? I'm looking for a good outer for cold weather (central Indiana).
    Thanks all

For me warmth in cold times starts with baselayers. Great wicking layer, midweight layer, then a fleece style material layer for cold hardiness...then I've been known to where just uninsulated bibs (waterproof though) and a jacket. The fleece layer is crucial though. I do hope to grab scentlok's fleece outerlayer sometime too, it's pricey but guarantee it's warm.

For sure buddy. I have the layering part covered. My current outer is a ****s sporting goods house brand outer. It's done the job but I have a couple hundred in bass pro gift cards thanks to work bonuses. So I'm looking to get a good quality outer.

I love my tthundrtek bibs and jacket. Their Clima fleece attracts me too outer layer wise for the colder times.

I really like the Thundertek bibs and jacket as well. Unfortunately the Thundertek line this year does not have the Thinsulate insulation like they used to. I would assume they won't be as warm as they used to be. My dad has the Rocky Athletic Mobility 3 jacket and bibs and loves them. They are very soft and quite, and also have the Sent IQ and Thinsulate
    Insulation.

Yeah mine are uninsulated safe a thin lining nothing more...they're the Native Species line so only article of mine that isn't scentlok but same exact Vertigo pattern....hoping if all goes well I upgrade to some scentlok cold gear outer layers next year....little at a time, stuff ain't cheap but I feel it is some of the best.

You got that right. None of it is cheap. I know a lot of people don't believe in the Scent clothing, but I figure it can hurt, and I do like the style and fit of a lot of the lineups as well as I am able to find it in bigger sizes.

Yeah whether it works to the degree they claim I have no clue, but enough science is behind it I know it minimizes it some, never gonna conquer a big bucks nose consistently..I just want to up the odds a little.
