I try to make sure that I do everything that I can to make sure deer cant smell me however I have still been busted by a downwind deer. i always shower with no scent hair and body wash and wash my camo in no scent deturgent and spray myself down with no scent spray. Is there anything in particular that most people mess up when using scent protection?

Could be anything from your breath to having your camo on drivng in your vehicle to your property. A downwind deer is tough to beat in my opinion even with scent killer.

I spray head to toe. Include bottoms of boots, hats, bags, etc.

I doubt you can do enough to keep them from smelling you when straight downwind. Its crazy how good their sense of smell is.
