    Guys,

I just got the Scent-Lok Full season jacket the other day, ordered it online from Cabelas and after feeling it I'm not too sure its "Full Season". Does anyone else have this jacket and if so is it really warm if you layer up? I'm in Northern Ill. and it can get pretty cold, just don't want to have to leave the stand early cause I'm freezing. There is another one I saw in the store from Scent-Lok that feels a little thicker. Any advice would be great!

I just bought the full season suit as well. Theres no way its gonna warm enough to use all season. It would work maybe in the southern states but i know it will not be thick enough for northern Il.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Cabelas has another one that is pretty thick for $180, layered up in that one it just might do the trick. I'm going back this weekend to take a look to swap it out for something else. I did get the whole mask/gaiter and the bow hunting gloves with the release opening and they are great!

note its not called the "Scent Lok LATE Season" jacket.

Its something to wear all season w/ layers in the later season.

I just got the full season velocity suit this year and I am from central Minnesota. I've worn it twice now - I wore a thin moisture wicking shirt, a tshirt and the suit one afternoon/evening and was sweating/warm all night.

I went out at 5am when it was about 40 degrees, wore the same moisutre wicking shirt, tshirt, and a crew neck sweatshirt and it was perfectly fine.

Layer and it will work for you perfectly... Once the temps get to 20-30 degrees you may want to really layer with the jacket.

I got the full season last year and was happy with it. Mind if it's -30 your not going to use it but it works well with some layering. I'm in northwest Indiana so we are probably getting similar weather. I use it from late Oct to mid Dec without a complaint and I get cold easily.

Don't be fooled guys I have the whole pants and jacket combo and it works! I wear it from opening day in early October to the end of february. Half of my season is spent next to the new york border so it gets cold trust me. The best thing that I have found to work and not sweat like crazy is a pair of long underwear under pants and Underarmor top with long sleeve tee. Its a great suit because it's warm and not bulky. Just my .02...
